In my capacity at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), I oversee their FaithNet initiative by educating pastors and congregations on mental health in the Silicon Valley. Kristin is an exceptional mental health advocate, support group facilitator, and peer mentor. As someone with an illness herself, she has rich insight and deep compassion born from her own experience. She’s a planner who follows through on every detail and networks beautifully and authentically. Kristin creates exciting collaborations and leverages her leadership skills as well as her creative background in marketing and graphic design.

STEVE CLIFFORD
Teaching & Leadership Development PASTOR, WESTGATE CHURCH

As Former Lead Pastor of WestGate Church, I witnessed Kristin’s journey with the Lord first hand. Upon arrival, she met with me in person to share her testimony of how God had led her to our church with a purpose. She dove into the teaching and ministries in our congregation, and sought after her unique design and spiritual giftedness. Kristin is wise beyond her years and graced with tremendous resilience and endurance. Although she has seen darkness and trials, she sustains her devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through prayer, Biblical studies, and community. She has demonstrated discernment and faithfulness in her desire to live and love as Jesus modeled.

I have worked closely with Kristin for more than 10 years. In serving with and walking alongside her, I have been blessed to know someone of tremendous courage and character, who exhibits a tender heart for others. She has been willing to be attentive and self-reflective to her own life journey and open to the ongoing transformation God is bringing about in her life. Kristin's willingness to care for others out of the care and comfort she has received has been an encouragement to me, and she continues to serve on a volunteer basis with local area nonprofit organizations like DBSA, RealOptions, and CityTeam.

Spiritual Development Pastor, westgate church

Kristin has been an active part of WestGate Church since the Spring of 2007. Her service has included leadership roles in helping to plan events and lead a support-based group affiliated with the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA). I have personally been in a small group with Kristin for the past 5 years. I have heard parts of her life history and her journey with Jesus. She has a vibrant and growing relationship with Christ and prays regularly for others. I feel her influence and example are a benefit to many in our congregation as well as myself. She is a very loving and giving person. Kristin has my confidence and respect.
